spring break {fort worth zoo}

We so enjoyed our afternoon at the Fort Worth Zoo with Dave, Kristen, and Olive!!

 Love was definitely in the air... the giraffes were wanting to procreate...

 and the bears were doing their version of a French kiss!

 The boys got to pet a corn snake...

 ...and an ARMADILLO!!

 

 We rode the train, which the boys loved!!

Dave and Kristen were so kind and let the boys pick out their birthday gifts at the zoo. Grayson chose a rattlesnake and Carter chose a frog umbrella! :)

It was a wonderful, beautiful day at the zoo! Thanks, Dave and Kristen!!

a cousin soccer game

We stopped in a park with Uncle Dave, Aunt Kristen, and Olive to let all the kids run around and enjoy the remaining part of the evening before it got dark. Instead of playing on the equipment, the boys soon got Uncle Dave and Jerry involved in a game of soccer. And just a few minutes later, Olive came into the game for her Mia Hamm debut. :)

spring break {fc dallas}

We were all super-pumped to head out to a FC Dallas vs Houston Dynamo soccer game with the Uncles. They play in a fairly new stadium in Frisco, TX and it was wild from the time we got there...

 they had a few games you could play before the actual game started... the boys tried a soccer shooting one...

 even Uncle Dave and Jerry gave it a try!

 we got to go down on the field and watch some of the players warm up

 there were bands playing all throughout the stadium, lots of flags, lots of soccer scarves... it really did remind me of a small version of when we went to the World Cup!

 we were on row 2, which was awesome! but just to our left, was the entire group of Houston fans... their band played the ENTIRE game and they had several chants involving curse words we don't say :)

the crazy thing is that their little section was totally roped off and there were security people everywhere -- very interesting to watch!

GOAL!! FC Dallas beat the Houston Dynamos, 3-2. A great (and very entertaining) game!

spring break {golfing}

Uncle Brentley took us to a fun golfing place close to his house... and it was a gorgeous afternoon! We even got sunburned! Oops. :)

 There were over 50 holes of mini-golf...

spring break {dallas aquarium}

We visited the Dallas World Aquarium with Uncle Brentley and we all loved it!

We arrived early to hopefully bypass the crazy crowds, and we did just that...

The top level was like a rainforest -- there were these cute monkeys scurrying all around...

and a random sloth, just sleeping in a tree!

We all loved watching the otters swim around!
