father's day {2014}

Happy Father's Day, guys! We love you both and are so thankful for you!

summer swim team

Grayson's first swim meet of the summer was last Saturday. He swam in 4 different events!

 He was part of a freestyle relay, a medley relay (he swam breaststroke), an individual breaststroke, and his very first 100 IM!

All in all, Grayson received two 1st place ribbons and two 4th place ribbons! Woo-hoo!

meeting isla

We were so excited to meet up with Uncle Dave, Aunt Kristen, Olive, and baby Isla in Southlake for a yummy brunch on Sunday morning. Isla was just short of 2 months old, and we couldn't wait to meet her!!

 Uncle Dave said that Olive did a little shopping for the boys... she gave them USA soccer shirts... Grayson's had Dempsey's name and number and Carter's had Donovan's... they loved them!

fc dallas game

We enjoyed a FC Dallas v. Colorado Rapids soccer game on Saturday evening. The stadium was not too far from our hotel, and they had a special presentation at halftime for all the players from the Supercopa.

 Grayson and several of his teammates at the game -- we sat right behind the goal!

 the boys had saved their money in order to buy a vuvesuela -- basically a really loud horn that you blow at soccer games :)

(think really loud elephant noise that scares people seated around you...)

 Jerry was feeling a little raucous that night as well...

 FC Dallas ended up winning over the Rapids, 3-2

All in all, it was a fun weekend filled with lots of soccer and sun!!

And, lots of "I believe that we will win!" chants... ;)

On Saturday, the boys were up bright and early, ready to play a team from Mexico!

Grayson had the awesome opportunity to join a team, FC Wichita, and play in the Premier Supercopa tournament last weekend in Dallas, TX. We all had a great time cheering him on and watching lots of amazing soccer!
