Last Saturday was a jam-packed day! First, Jerry ran 15 miles (yes, 15!!) early that morning. Then, both Grayson and Carter had soccer games and both scored goals. Woo-hoo! After Grayson's game, we drove up to Lawrence for KU's very first football game of the year. When we stepped out of the car, the thermometer read 100 degrees... but we didn't let the scorching heat stop us!
Our first stop was all the bounce-house fun on the practice turf...
As we walked up to the stadium, Grayson spotted Big Jay. The boys went RUNNING up to him, calling his name. He stopped for a quick picture. Gotta love that Jayhawk!
Then he headed onto the field to cheer the players on!
Three of my favorite boys at the game :)
There was an awesome flyover after the National Anthem was sung... the planes shot red, white, and blue smoke out as they flew over... it was amazing!
It never did cool off, but it was a great game! The 'Hawks looked pretty good!
During the 3rd quarter, we spotted Baby Jay on the field, walking over towards our section. The boys sprinted down the steps to say hi! I snapped this quick pic with my phone.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
We were thankful for a 31-14 WIN!!
